| The days are getting longer and before you know it, spring will be here! And spring means that it will be time, once again, for the most heart-warming 5K race on the planet, the fabulous Humane Race! Taking place at Mt. Greylock Regional High School on Sunday, May 4th, at 10:00 AM, the 6th Annual Humane Race will be tons of fun for all members of the community, including those with floppy ears and wagging tails! We will have great prizes, refreshments, and energetic music. For the past five years, runners of every age and description (including over 250 four-legged runners) have joined in the fun, raising over $27,000 in cash and premium dog food for the Berkshire Humane Society! This is super news as the BHS really needs our support, receiving absolutely no state or federal funding. This wonderful shelter survives only on the generosity of the people of Berkshire County. Your sponsorship has meant so much that we hope you will consider supporting The Humane Race again (possibly even increasing your sponsorship) in 2008. We are planning more advertising, a widespread press campaign, and we hope to see double the participants from last year.
